During the first week of Advent, we study the biblical theme of Hope. Specifically, the hope that Israel placed in the coming Messiah and the same hope we place in Him as we await His return to bring us into glory.

Advent is not just a title for the four weeks before Christmas. Find resources to help you seriously, wholeheartedly, and fastidiously to engage with the strange and unexpected way that God sent the Messiah to His people and to appreciate Jesus Christ in the fullness of His glory.⁠

What prevents you from seeking rest? What aspects of your life do you feel like you are running out of time? What are the natural limits you have as a human being? How can those limits be seen as gifts rather than something to overcome?

Spend some time reflecting on the love that King Jesus has for you, exactly as you are.

Along with others I cannot thank God enough for teaching me the great truth that the way of victory is the way of brokenness by seeing Jesus and His blood.

Life-giving streams, welling up from broken and contrite hearts, began to flow very quietly together, swelling the stream of new life in our district.

When we recognize the temporary nature of all that we consume ourselves with and everything around us, there is a deep emptiness that we have the opportunity to confront.

God’s desire is to save all humankind. God’s plan is relationship.

God created us for a love relationship with Him.

We chose to be independent of God

God chose to restore relationship with us through Jesus

Salvation is the means to get back to the goal: relationship with God

Unity - Multiplication - Edification

God’s plan becomes our calling: to live of the same likeness of Jesus Christ.
